What to Expect on This Private Tour Paris to Giverny
Musée d’Orsay holds the largest collection of art ranging from the mid–19th century to the end of the Belle Époque. You’ll be picked up at your desired pick-up spot in Paris, likely passing famous landmarks along the way including the Seine.
During your tour of the museum with your private licensed guide, you’ll discover an impressive collection of Impressionist names: Renoir, Degas, Monet, Manet, Cézanne, as well as post-Impressionist painters such as van Gogh and Gauguin, to name a few.
By the completion of the Museum tour you’ll see the Academic sculptures and the Expressionism of Rodin. In addition, your expert guide will provide commentary on the many works of art you see.
An afternoon in Giverny
On this combined tour, your licensed driver-guide will lead you on your next part of the journey: a 50-mile drive to Giverny.
The garden blooms year-round, and you’ll learn more about what you’re seeing from a helpful brochure provided by Fondation Claude Monet.
A highlight includes a visit in the garden that is home to the Japanese bridge and lily ponds that inspired Claude Monet for one of his most famous paintings, the “Nymphéas” (Water Lilies).
Afterward, head inside to Claude Monet’s house, where he lived with his family for 43 years. You will immerse yourself in the artist’s daily life by crossing the blue sitting room, the dining room, and his studio. Your transportation will be waiting for you at 5pm at a predetermined meeting point for your return to Paris.

Frederick is a terrific guide and host
Frederick was a terrific guide and host. He was extremely knowledgable about Giverny and Monet, as well as many other artists and French history. He really went the extra mile literally and took us through several smaller towns in Normandy on the way home. I highly recommend Parismatic!
Excellent tour
Fred picked us up at our hotel in Paris and drove us to Giverney. Fred was knowledgeable, his van was comfortable and he prepared us to visit Monet’s garden. The drive back to Paris was lovely, through the Seine river valley. Fred continued to provide information. A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour.
