Beautiful architecture attracts more than two million visitors every year. Anyone taking a walk through the narrow streets of Bruges or a boat trip on the canals is charmed by the atmosphere of that delightful city. As the city center is really small you will be able to see the major attractions.
You will visit Market square surrounded by neo-gothic buildings and dominated by the Halle with Belfry tower, the most distinctive landmark.
Visit Central Bourg Square
Heading to the central Bourg square on the way you will admire Provincial Courthouse before to see one the most beautiful buildings of the city which is the Town Hall: gothic building dating from 1376 one of the oldest in Belgium.
On the east side of the square you will see buildings built between 1722-27 the Law Courts.
Some of the historic rooms are opened for visitors. Particular one is Schepenzaal where you can admire the famous chimney-piece in oak, marble and alabaster built in 1528 a real masterpiece of Renaissance.
Another gorgeous building with flamboyant style arches presides over the Burg Square-Basilica of the Holy Blood famous for the crystal vial containing Christ’s blood which is brought out to the upper chapel and shown to the faithful every Friday.
Each year in May this relic is carried through the streets of city in the Procession of the Holy Blood.

After a nice visit, your guide will recommend you to a good local restaurant where you will enjoy your lunch to continue with an interesting and picturesque boat cruise to discover secret gardens, bridges and mansions (duration around 45 minutes tickets are not included).
